When I first got my 4th Gen IPOD with the click wheel, I was not too concerned about having album art for my music and I thought they took up too much space. However since I got my IPOD Touch, which has cover flow for album art and suddenly album art became a must.
One of the easiest way I have found of getting album art for your albums or individual songs (For those without an iTunes account). Just follow the following steps:
1. Go to www.albumart.org or www.amazon.com to find the album art that you want ad save it to a Folder
2. From your iTunes, select the songs that you want for the particular album art (Shift and click to select multiple songs). Right click and select Get Info, you will see a dialog box menu. Check the box that says Artwork and also double-click on the box. A dialog box will pop up for you to select the album art, go to the Folder that you have saved the album art, select and click OK. The album art will then be embedded into your songs and when you transfer to your IPOD Touch, you will be able to see the album art from your cover flow.
