Changing Logon User Name in XP/Vista

If you have taken over a previous worker’s computer or just want to change the logon user name in Windows XP or Vista.

Try this.

Windows XP

1. Start Button

2. Click on ‘Run’

3. Enter “control userpasswords2″

4. Click on the user you want to change the name and use ‘Properties’.

5. Click on ‘Ok’ or ‘Apply’ to make the changes.

Windows Vista

1. Start Button

2. On the search bar, enter “netplwiz”

3. Click on the user you want to change the name and use ‘Properties’.

4. Click on ‘Ok’ or ‘Apply’ to make the changes.
